OK, for the cabin heating, I have what appears to be weird stuff happening, but it could be normal and I just don't get how it works.
When heating the cabin:
- If I press the timed recirculate button, often (always?) the rear defrost button illuminates. Normal?
- If I press recirculate and crank the fan up fully, there is a LOT of noise, but very little air comes out of the vents, and it seems as if the front windsheild dash vents expel air, even if I haven't selected that mode.
- When the timed recirc turns off, and it seems as if all air sort of stops. Is it trying to warm the air before it starts releasing it to the cabin? It's the only thing I can think of.
- Excluding what's going on above, if I put the heat on and select both body and feet as the output vents, there is very little air coming from the body vents on the dash - is this normal? I know it should be less than if those vents alone are selected since you are now sharing the output, but the body vents drop to a volume that requires cranking the system to feel the air on your body.
Gremlins or working as designed?
