Hi New Lr3 Owner Needs Little Help

Hi guys I just signed the papers on a 2006 LR3 and I'm loving every minute of IT. I'm also a motorcycle rep who has alot of toys to haul and I noticed I need a adapter for my land rover can anyone please tell me with the adapter can I use an ordinary reciever or do I have to buy the reciever also from land rover???? Either way where would be the most reasonable priced place to purchase one or both of these Items???? Along with that I guess I also need the trailer wiring harness, same question applys for this item also. If anyone can help it will be much appretiated. THANX

This is the adapter that gives you a hitch receiver:

It's a standard Class III size receiver. There's nothing special about the receiver size, once you get it you can use any standard Class III hitch.

I worked mine into the deal when I bought my used LR3. Try the local dealer, or maybe try the link above - I have never bought from them, just a place with good pictures as far as I know.

As for wiring, take off the panel on the rear bumper, turns out I have wiring harnesses there, so I didn't need a wiring kit.

You might also try ebay or craigslist in your area for the adapter - you can usually get them for around $200 or less on those.
