Hey all,
The little red/orange plastic piece that fits into the hole where the hitch receiver goes keeps falling out. It's that plastic thing that you have to remove to put the hitch receiver on. Does it matter? If I get into rain or mud will it cause any corrosion or damage in the hitch receiver hole if the plastic thingy is missing? Thanks.

It clearly wasn't creating an airtight fit anyway so you're no worse off without it. Maybe keep an eye on things but that is beefy metal up there.

I keep my hitch on all of the time. I just remove the ball piece.
