Hi All,
I recently had both of my HPFP's replaced in my 2013 LR4 and now that the weather is nice I've been driving with the windows down and I can hear a distinct and loud tapping sound from the pass side that follows the RPM's of the engine. It sounds like a mechanical clicking - I initially thought it may be an exhaust leak but as a crawled under the truck I noticed that both of my acoustic covers on my HPFP's are missing. I wanted to ask the forum how big of a difference they really make? For reference, my chains and guides were changed about 6 months ago.. The noise is definitely coming from the bottom of the passenger side of the engine. I am going to smoke test tonight just to rule out an exhaust leak. Thanks all
