I need help

I have a 2004 disc, the check engine light is on and when i am stoped at a light it idles real rough. i think that i a m only getting about 9 miles per gallon

Welcome to the forum... we need the codes, get them read at your local auto parts store for free... write them down and let us know. Without the codes it is like a blind man ordering dinner from a deaf mute... not fun.
