Hi i have had a good scout through the site but can't locate thread on bluetooth? Any ideas please

My question is can i use my Iphone in the car? I have a 2006 Vogue 4.2. When i search with my Iphone 4s it can't even locate the "LAND ROVER" bit which should appear??

Can anyone please offer me some sound advice on how to get this working.

Thanks

Are you sure your 2006 has factory Personal Telephone Integration/ Bluetooth? I am not so sure it was standard issue on every trim in every market back then. Does your steering wheel include dial and hang up buttons or paddles? Also, there should be a clearly visible receptacle for handset cradles somewhere under the center arm rest if your car came equipped with PTI. The cradle is useless today, but it's an easy way to tell if your car was equipped with Bluetooth from the factory or not.

If none of your BT enabled handset (try another one in addition to the iPhone, just to exclude a possible issue with the phone) cannot find LAND ROVER when the ignition is on and the engine is running, my only guess is that the Bluetooth module in your Range Rover is either defective or disconnected.
