Troy, my mistake. I said that a few of us had discussed this recently and while that is true, it was on a different LR forum! Didn't want you to drive yourself crazy searching here for it.
FWIW, here's a poorly lit shot of how I mounted mine. You can just make out the wire extending to the left of the controller which I fished it into the seam leading along the side of the center stack and along the console. A credit card was perfect for doing this. I am not one for cheesy duct-tape mods but I thought the Kinivo looked right at home on the dash. One reason I placed it so close to the ignition button is that I wanted to make sure it caught my voice during phone calls and this spot seems to do the trick.
