Hi. I am UK ex pat living in Spain. I have recently bought a 1996 Left Hand Drive, Discovery 2.5 Tdi automativ, which appears to have originally been built for the Middle East market, as it has Arabic writing on the wing mirrors.
My problem is, there is an audible alarm sounding, whenever the car reaches around 70 MPH. Having travelled to the UAE and Dubai, I know this is standard for cars out there. Problem is, how do I turn it off. No obvious switches, or anything in the handbook.
The sound is coming from below the steering, in the same area as the fuses, and I think it is part of a multi sound speaker. I have spoken with a couple of dealers in the UK, but they have been unable to help.
Anybody got any Ideas?
