Sounds like the headlight switch has gone bad.

Joey, is it a tough one to fix? I know you know how o fix it. I don't think that there is much about rovers that you do not know.

There is a lot about Rovers I don't know, I just read alot and keep alot of info on my computer... you should see the info I am gathering on the Lotus Esprit (next purchase).

If it is the switch that is bad, and not just a bad connection to the switch, then it only takes about 20 minutes to change....

I would also check to make sure that it isn't just some corrosion in the bulb connections. This is also common. I also believe there is a relay under the glove box that could be an issue....

Remember the land rover is hand build and has many grounds and many parts that can go wrong to cause any number of issues that just don't seem related.

96 Disco. Joey I also have a rough idle. I think (because I have read it here on the boards) that I need to retorque rocker arms or something like that. I am machanically inclined but just do not know much about engines. There is also a rough knock in the engine as well. I think the idle and the knock are related but really don't have the knowledge to diagnose such a problem.
