Greetings,

Considering a purchase of a LR3 and would like to get a little more light in the front of the vehicle. There are driving lamps available from LR for this, for those of you who have seen them are they any good? Perform well? Worth it? Look like they are worthy of the car they are attached to?

Thanks!

I was thinking of better the brush bar & either mount two land rover genuine light or 2 of the new Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xeon's but i don't know which would look better, plus i havn't seen the Hella's for sale anywhere yet...

Last ? is where do they put the switch for the lights ?

I've got them attatched to the A-Bar and I'm pretty happy with them. They put out a lot of light. The switch is on a flat panel to the right of the intrument cluster if I remember right. I'll have to look when I go home.

I am looking at buying a set of Hella Rallye 4000 HID's that are 9 in diameter and was wondering what the diameter of the land rover OEM lights are, whoever has a set if you could please let me know, i have seen them on a brush bar and they look great... I don't want the 4000 HID's to be too big ?
thanks

Smashed Lens on LR3 Driving Lamps

Hi
I just joined this community today to try and track down how I can buy a replacement glass lens for original Land Rover - LR3 Driving Lamps, the ones as featured on their accessory builder web site. They are attached to a genuine LR bull bar..I dont know part numbers etc, only had the LR3 HSE for a few days and a damn stone went straight into the lens. Local dealer (in UAE) wants $700 for a new kit, a pair of lamps !!!. Very un helpful dealer...

Flockton1963, those Land Rover OEM driving ights are very expensive here in the States also. That price seems fair, in an outragious way. I don't share davez26's opinion that they are very good lights. I have been much happier with a simple H7 HID bulb upgrade in my low beam lights. Vastly more light than the OEM driving lights.

In your case, I think you would be better served replacing the OEM lights with LightForce or IPF lights that are comon in your area. Cheaper, brighter, stronger. All good things!
