WHAT IS THE DAMGED WIRE/CONNECTION IN THE PICTURE? RED AND GREEN WIRE GOING INTO ENGINE @ CENTER. THANKS!!!
<< 2015 LR4 engine >>

***
Had some Rodents build a Nest by eating the Plastic/Foam Engine Cover.

[1] Anyone know what this connection point is on a 2015 LR4? (pictured above is the connection/wire with the Front/bottom of the photo being the South End closest to bumper front of the engine, at the Center Position)

[2] One wire of the 2 or 3, looks completely cut/severed and the second/other wire(s) damaged in the housing, as well as the housing cable? NOT sure what a clean OEM connection looks like.
[3] What would you say the cost/labor hours for the repair?

[RED Check Engine Light was on but when I cleaned up the engine area free of debris, the Check Engine is now illuminated but now ORANGE.]

Didn't see any other apparent damage. But who knows in Disco-land?!

Cheers Lads, and thanks in advance!

@westcoastrover I can't answer your exact questions but will say we added a rodent-repelling LED-flashing-sonic repeller to the engine bay and it has made a difference. We park our rovers outside and yes the critters love the engine bay.

The mice out here are big mofos and laughed at mouse traps I set for them. They aren't laughing now because I upped my game to rat traps baited with poison sticks to increase trigger sensitivity using leverage. They also catch rats but those are pretty rare.

Hoping someone can ID this connection for me, happy to send more pictures if needed. Thanks for all the anti-rodent tips.

Here is a bird's-eye view of the engine, hoping someone knows what this connection-point is (Red Arrow). Thanks!
