I'm curious what your symptoms were to replace the light switch? I don't think I've checked my brake lights lately but is there a warning on the dash for it?
LR4 in boneyard - what should I pluck?

Car will freak out, you'll get lights and messages. Airbag light, brake light, I think abs light, HDC not available will pop up, no cruise control and probably anything that depends on the brake sensor will freak out. You can drive around normally but idk how many ways it can fail but mine took out my tail lights and that's the scariest part cause you can still drive around. First time mine went out I had to drive an hour plus for the only switch I could find at a part store only for it to be a ****** one that didn't even work, ended up messing with mine enough for it to come back to life, then I stopped by the yard and plucked an oem one and carried it in the back till mine went out again replaced it in 2 minutes and was back on the road like nothing happened.
Wife will freak out for sure tho.

Another LR4 has arrived at my local LKQ and planning a fun day of picking tomorrow. Besides the recommendations above, any new suggestions??

Freezing windy morning but grabbed a few items.
- Plastic hitch cover with good clips
- Front and center valve blocks. Not sure if original but interested in maybe refurbing if that is possible
- Intake vent covers. I mainly pulled to see how they came off if I need to clear sunroof drains
- Both rear light boxes. $35/ea seems like good insurance if I ever need one. A bit dicey getting off since lower rear gate would not go down without power. Is there a trick to lower it in these cases?
- But big score was AMK susp pump for $40! Car was a 2011, so must be replacement? I hope to get date code or S/N to try to date it. Also got bracket and top/bot covers.
Makes me sad though. Beautiful dark green paint, clean non trashed interior and timing chain had zero play. How they end up in the boneyard in such good condition is beyond me.
It's Miller Time...or better yet a nice bourbon to thaw me out!
