LR4 to LR3 - tail lights "backdate" ... has anyone done this

I love my 2010 LR4, but have never liked the taillight design.

Has anyone successfully installed stock (OEM) LR3 taillights on their LR4? Perhaps using replacement LED bulbs in the LR3 taillights?

I'm not sure if the LR4 taillights have built-in resistors, or how it is wired from the factory?

The LR3 lights were much classier. Same with the grill. I still prefer the LR3 over any of the LR4 designs. Sorry can't help with the technical side.
