I was at my wits end. Bought the LR3 2005 july 28, 2005. Water poured, yes poured in during Sept. They fixed it Took a week. THen got recalled for gas tank, but they told me none available. So in Oct they "serviced" the vehicle. Oh wonderful, nexy day Low Coolant Warning, back to the dealer. Oh bad sensor, changed it. ONE MILE LATER same thing, I called i asked didnt you even turn the freakin car on. you would see the warning light. Waited a week or two to go back. called the end of nov and got an appt for dec5 to get a new gas tank, and fix my coolant. Drove 60 miles and was told OH we have no more gas tanks. But, we will fix the coolant problem.(AGAIN) Oh they fixed it it last 3 days this time till 12/8. So today no coolant need new gas tank, fed up I drove to the dealer unannounced. Drove the car up to the service entrance door, parked it took the key and went to see the manager of the dealer ship. He apologized profusely, I told him at least his service was getting better, as now the repair lasted 3 days instead of a mile. I also wanted to know where my gas tank was. And why my coolant level needs to be fixed every week.

He told me here are the keys to a brand new 2006 Lr3, well that was good because last time they gave me a wet van because all of the 2005 were recalled. Take it and you will not get your car back until it is completely fixed and he will personally drive it for a few days. Bad news that might take a week or two but I got a new LR3 in the meantime. I love this car, but the service at the Parsippany new jersey landrover sucks. I dont know if I trust them putting in a new gas tank, but I hvae no choice. I heard their service rating is 66 percent. great.

well i am done ranting must go drive my new car to the store.

most of the Land Rover dealers suck at service

why do you think that is?

you pay a premium for the car so should get the service to match. is this a historical problem because the previous years allegedly had more problems? (thus they were swamped)

just curious. so far so good with me, the occasional annoyance but not enough service visits yet to make a judgement.

They suck because they have a monoply, usually there aren't a lot of dealers in any given area.

I use the same dealership. I was just curious - Did they give you a new 2006 LOADED LR3 HSE to drive until they fix yours?

well it doesnt have a dvd or side boards which help me, but has mostly everything else. Heated seats were good on a day like today. At least it wasnt the musty van that i got in oct when i had water pouring in.

This is a truth and a crying shame. When people post up with concerns and questions on my Triumph forum, I always tell them that when they are looking at buying a Triumph motorcycle that, although they will probably not have many, or any, problems with their bikes, they had better make sure they have a good dealership before they purchase. Just in case you need them, you are going to want a good one. Its especially important with any "exclusive" brand, part of having a positive ownership experience is having a good dealership. We are planning on buying an LR3 this month. I have talked to my salesman, his manager and the general manager. I have also visited with the service manager and walked through the service department and the service bays. I feel pretty comforatable with my local dealership. Now if I could just talk to a few current customers to see what their experiences have been...

Good luck to you!

I would ask them for some satisfied customers, i did this with my house cleaner and contractor and if people are good they shouldnt mind. Well I am now on day 3, and they still havent fixed me car. Just read the lemon law for NJ, and now think me qualify. They had my car for 7 days when the water poured in. However, i would jst like my care back and working.

This is my first experience with Land Rover, and my Dealer (Land Rover of West Chester PA) has been great. My voice module is not working right, they came to my office (a good half hour drive) yesterday picked up my car and left me a Range Rover to drive.
