Model revisions and born on date

I just bought a new LR3 HSE in Los Angeles and the dealer told me that it just came right off the boat. Thing is, the production date says 04/06...question, does anyone know how long it takes to get here and what is the latest production date for the LR3? Are there any model revisions that I might be missing out on that have happened since 04/06? It seems that if it just came off the boat it have a later production date....any thoughts or observations?

What model year does the dealer claim it is? Where did you see this "04/06" stated?

It is a 06 LR3, on the inside of the driver door it has production info that says 04/06....any clues?

I have to check my when I get back. But maybe the brits read it "April '06" instead of "June '04"? No way cars made in 2004 can be of 2006 model year. Check your LR paperwork. If they all state "2006" model, then it should be. Also what's your VIN # or color? Some of the guys here may know if its a real 06 model or not.

No, I know it's an 06...my question is has there been any revsions on the 06 that have happened after April... I have heard that there have been almost 5 different builds over the 2006 year and I am concerned that my car is an April build date and I was told that it is a new one right off the boat... just want to see if anyone on this forum knows for sure and has more info.

Mine is an April 06 build and I drove it off my dealer's lot at the end of June.

Technicall speaking, before a new car is delivered, the dealer is supposed to go thru the list and perform all the latest "upgrades" available if not already done at the factory. The last upgrades was B034 and B036 I think.

But since your car is 06 built, it may be already corrected at the plant and not affected. There was a thread that had listed the affected lots but I cant find it now. Do a search on the topic in disco3.co.uk or check with your dealer.
