Today we went to the Hampton Roads International Auto Show. It is the second largest show on the east coast. Our intent was to compare the LR3 to some competitors to help us decide if the LR3 was right for our next SUV.
I was overwhelmed by the product knowledge of the LR reps (local dealer salespeople).
I peppered them with questions from towing to reliability. They had an answer for everything.
I was extremely disappointed by the Acura (MDX) and VW (Touareg) reps. They did not even have a basic knowledge of some of the features or capabilities.

axg, what do you want to know?

You'll probably find more knowledge here than at any autoshow. ...not that there isn't a lot of experience and know-how at those shows, but there is just a lot here, too.

I know I've benefitted from posting & reading !

I found this with the LR dealers as well. Most of them know the cars really well. Which isn't true for a lot of salespeople who have problems selling to an informed consumer. they can sell to what's in the short brochure, but not much else.
