Hello all, I'm glad to finally be apart of this forum.

I have a 2006 LR3 HSE that I picked up yesterday. I watched the DVD that came with it, but I still have a few questions.

First, I would like to program the 4th button on the key to raise and lower the vehicle. I was able to do this perfectly fine with the LR3 the dealer gave me to drive for a day. My fourth button was already programed to activate the "follow me home" lights. I am assuming that is a factory default. When I try to re-program the button, it doesn't work. The follow me home lights come on, but thats it. I'm pressing the button and pushing the switch that adjusts the air suspension. Any ideas?

Second, the battery. I was programming my sidekick 3 cell phone to work with the vehichle's bluetooth. I have the key in position 2 for no more than 5 minutes. When I tried to crank 'er, nothing. She was dead. I got her jumped with my MINI Cooper S. Should I be entitled to a new battery?

Third, PDC. The PDC was working fine until the battery died. Now, it will not activate. The button on the dash is not illuminated. I tried pushing it, holding it, and reading the manual. Its not activated. How do I re-activate it?

And lastly, the nav screen. Has anyone modded the screen so it would play dvds? I would be able to install a different DVD player, I just dont know how to do the wiring for the screen. Also, what about a back up camera? If I install the camera and run the wires, what do I do so the screen will switch to the camera when shifted to reverse?

Thank you all for your responses. I love my LR3! Pics to come soon!

I'd actually love an answer to your first question. My button is programmed to alarm so my attempts to reprogram are not only unsucessful, but quite noisy.

I vaguely recall similar battery problem and dvd-related questions come up before - try search or another LR forum out there...

Dropper, I went to the dealer with my 24 hr old car and told them I had to jump start it to get here. True story. They replaced it while I waited.

Thanks for your help.

It's not uncommon for new cars to have dead batteries. They sit in the showrooom for a while, and people turn them on to play with the seats and the nav, etc... It drains them down right quick.

As for the button programming, it's all in your printed Owners manual, and it's pretty clearly written. I had no trouble modifying mine, but it was a while ago.

I don't have PDC, can't help you there - sounds like a dealer question, or check your manual.

There are lots of DVD hacks and tricks out there. Try searching www.disco3.co.uk

Glad to know. Thank you.

I have read the instructions in the user manual over and over. It still doesn't work. I've done it before, so I know I'm doing it correctly. I'll ask the dealer.[/QUOTE]

Checked the manual. It says that I can push the button to mute it, but not deactivate is. I'll ask the Dealer.
