New LR3 owner

Hey guys. whats up? I bought a 2007 LR3 HSE last month. My problem is that the voice recognition down work, It dont even beep and post "listening" in the cluster. I understand that this is standard feature in every 2007 lr3, Please help me. Do i need to connect or activate something?

Voice Recognition is not a standard feature, but is part of a package. If the vehicle has the voice recognition paddle on the left hand side of the steering wheel and you hit it, it should in fact be "listening". If not, that's going to be a dealer fix.
BTW, voice recognition can be tricky with some voices and commands. Tthe section in the manual is very helpful, as well as a knowledgable dealer staff to "train" you a bit on it. There are also a few posts here with some tips if you do a search.

davez26 is spot on. If you have the steering wheel paddle and there is no 'beep' after tapping it you need to take it to the dealer.

Does your Navigation system work? If not, odds are your dealer forgot to put the DVD-ROM in the Navigation mechanism under your seat. If it's not installed, it may cause the voice paddle to not function at all.

Now, if your Navigation is working... it's probably really broken.
