Hi Guys
we have got a 1999 diesel freelander mk1 with the l series lump in it. yesterday we removed the propshaft to fit another one with a suspect vcu failure. when the original prop was removed i wanted to see if it was 2 wheel front drive. but the truck wouldnt move anywhere. i could see the rear shaft to power the rear wheels spinning out of the IRD but have got NO front wheel drive.
all the front drive shafts are fitted and look ok ? are the front wheels governed by electrics at all ? i thought a lot of people removed the propshaft to get better fuel economy etc
any ideas guys ? cheers !
