No Heat 94 Disco

Have both temp knobs turned far right and checked thru the glove box to make sure the doors were opening ok. Engine temp is right in the middle and coolant level is ok. There is what looks like a vacuum operated gate valve on top of the right valve cover that is connected to the water feed from the thermostat and goes ,I think to the heater core. The hose leading to it is hot ,however after it the hoses are cool. Anybody got any help????

It sounds like it could be a plugged heater core, or a vapor lock in it??

It was a blocked heater core. Just pulled the hoses and power flushed it with a hose, then flushed the entire system. Nasty stuff came out. Now it feels like a dragon lives in it.

Heater problems

Fellow Landies-

My Heater Won't Turn On Till The Switch Is Up To Four. No 1,2, Or 3. Whats With This. 95 Disco 123,000. When Its Super Cold It Makes A Winding Sound Like A Little Girl Screaming At The Top Of Her Lungs????? Any Ideas

If you mean the fan will not come on, then the switch is bad... if you mean no heat, then check your Radiator fluid level.

yeah, the switch just won't work in the forst second and thrid switchs but on the forth it nice hot heat. so you think the switch is bad huh. any ideas on where to pick one up?

OK, I will get into touch with Nathan. You should get kick backs....I've seen that website posted a plethora of times on this forum! I'm sure you have generated quite a few customers for him. Anyways, thanks again Joey
