Has anyone ever had it where the OBD II thingamajig won't even pick up the error code?

I went to Autozone and she plugged it in, seemingly correctly, ran it about 5 times and no dice.

She said take it to the dealer...I know that's gonna hurt.

Disco II with about 46600 on it, SES light has been on for about two weeks. I've noticed decreased power...and I'd want to say, for lack of better term, almost a slip or miss when I'm getting on the gas.

Which brings me to another question. After doing the OME lift, how much of a drop in MPG should be expected? I have lost about 2 MPGs - down to about 13.2 MPG but sometimes as low as 10.5. I'm pretty sure the 13.2 is cool, but the 10.5 AND the SES light, who knows?

Thanks.

SES light if for the Air Bags and should not effect fuel economy, and it will not be seen by OBDII.

two questions for you.

What grade of fuel are you running?

What maint if any has been done to the Disco? (plugs, wires, air filter, fuel injector cleaner)?

OME lift if it drops any at all will be maybe 1 mpg unless you also went larger tires :)

I run nothing but totally sweet United States Army Post 93 Octane in it, so I don't know.

Also, I took it in early for the 45000 or is it the 46500 mile check, either way...I just had it serviced.

Joey, so far as your maintenance question, I personally have done none. Left it to the dealer for the most part. Only thing "special", other than the OME 3", is a K&N air filter...o yea, BFG 265x75R's.

Gas is no biggie...<insert war sentiment here>...it'll get cheap again...some day.

Big thing is the SES light. Joey, if you're telling me its the airbags, should I worry about the "over inflated" rear SLS? Tell me not to worry and I won't, but how do I get the light to turn off for this specific error?

Thanks for your help.

SES is airbags, as in the one in the steering wheel and the one on the passenger side dash.

SLS is rear air bags for the suspension, if it is over inflated, it is probably one of the sensors are out of alignment.

If you have noticed a decrease in power and fuel economy, first things first.... Plugs, Wires and clean the air filter (be careful not to over oil the Filter, or you will be asking about MAF real soon).

Wouldn't hurt to run a can of seafoam (good injector cleaner found at NAPA) through the tank and one in the intake plenium (sp).

If not sure where to put in the intake, do a search on Seafoam here on this board and I am sure you will see the pics.
