oil leak ?

Man, that's irritating! So much of that goes on out there. That's why I do the oil and other basics myself. I realize that not everyone has the time or inclination to do so but when I'm done with the job I KNOW it's right (and for half the price).

I am really glad tha't all it was for you!

After this I may go back to changing my own oil again. When we first bought the land rover I figured it was too much of an hassle screwing with the skid plate and everything, so I was more inclinded to pay someone else to do it. I have always used full synthetics so the changes do cost quite a bit, may just bite the bullet and do the changes myself. Anyone from Houston, TX have a shop they recommend for Land Rovers. I need to find a good shop for other things that i cant tackle on my own in the driveway. I am thinking it is probably getting close to time to change out the bushings.

Honestly, it's really pretty straight forward. Like others, I use a floor jack and piece of wood to hold up the skids plates while removing the bolts. Once those are off, filter and plug are right there. Search the forum for other tips (extra big recepticale, etc).
