Poor radio reception

I noticed My radio reception gets worse when I turn on my rear defroster must be creating some kind of interference. Anyone else?

I have XM Radio, which uses Fm frequency signal. That same unit works great at the different car, but on my LR3…. Horrible. Barely catching. So I had use an extra antenna. But the radio is fine with other Fm channels.
