Hi all,
I am on step 8 in the Discovery Series II 1999-2002 MY workshop manual on page 30-2-15.
It says to disconnect the EVAP pipe from the inlet plenum, but doesn't describe the trick to do this. This squarish plastic connector is surrounded by a rubber bootie thingy. The connector seems to have 2 flat areas that in theory could be pushed in to release it from the plenum side fitting somehow ... I can't seem to get the knack of doing this, with my fingers anyway (does it take a tool?). I tried to remove the hose from the barb, the the hose seems to have a hard insert, making it difficult to slip off the plastic ell barb without breaking the barb. Hopefully someone has been here before and can give me some advice before I break something. Meanwhile, I am going to drain the coolant...
Oh, yeah, I am doing this to R & R the injectors to have them bench serviced in a town nearby. The Magnecors will be here Wed, and the gasket set Thurs, so I have some time.
Thanks!
Lisa

Never mind, got it. I pushed on one side, that was all it took. Weird connector!
