Hi, chipping away at my research and services needed for our "new" 07 LR3.

Having trouble finding LRN0753 for the transfer case, learned it may be superseded by IYK500010. Places seem to be out, backordered, or NLA. Couldn't find info here, or other forums.

The search for IYK500010 led me to RAVENOL Transfer Fluid TF-0870, OE usage specs list both LR part numbers (IYK500010 and TF 0753) - costs around $23/ltr

The RAVENOL search led me to FUCHS TITAN ATF 5005 Transfer Case Fluid (Shell TF-0870) - around $15/ltr

Part numbers all seem to align coincidentally for these last 2 fluids, which in turn reference back to 0753.

Anyone use either RAVENOL or FUCHS? Am I crazy to think they are actual OEM replacements? Always looking to save $ where I can, and also curious about solving the case of what is really inside "LR packaged" bottles.

Thanks!

. . . Is everyone just using Royal Purple Synchromax?
. . . Or just ponying up for the LR Brand?

....for $80 I'd buy the OEM stuff and have piece of mind.

I'm leaning towards Royal Purple.

I got the same research results as you.

What did you end up using?

thanks

I bought IYK500010 for $32/ltr at autohauosaz.com

Add a new air filter or cabin filter, and you get free shipping

I recently changed the transfer case fluid on my 2006 LR3. The research I did indicated that you should definitely use LR fluid for the transfer case. Diffs may be a different story. Part number at the dealer is IYK50010. Be warned...LR is very proud of their oil and it was $48.54 per quart. I'm sure a better price is out there.
