Heaviness: Depends on the size and MFR. The Overland Accessories tents come in two sizes, the big one is REALLY big and quite heavy. Takes two guys and a few groans and grunts. The smaller one is MUCH lighter and still takes two people because of it's dimensions, but it's much lighter. I can hold it up off the rack with one hand while repositioning the anchors for it with my other hand. I think the smaller ARB tents are very similar. The Maggaloina (sp?) tents are pretty light too, but the big expedition style canvas tents are pretty heavy.

I don't own one, as I have 4 people in my family, and two of us are very tall, so we just wouldn't all fit. However, I've had the Overland Accessories tents mounted on my truck (both sizes) and it does just fine up there. I prefer the smaller one though.

There is some wind noise, but it's not too bad. Very similar to driving with the sunroof cracked up in the angled "vent' configuration. After a few miles, you don't notice it at all.

Here is the smaller Overland Accessories tent mounted on my Hannibal rack, on OffRoving's LR3 ;-)

Camping Lab roof top tent

I've been very happy with my Camping Lab roof Top tent. Very easy to install only weighs 100 lbs. and makes for a quick job to set up and break down camp. I have the 2 person which could sleep 3 comfortably if they weren't giants. Very well thought out design and stout construction. The tent has performed flawlessly in 35mph winds with heavy rain, no leaks and the tent didn't even move in the rain. I especially like the heavy duty rubberized cover which is completely waterproof with a HD zipper closure. Mounts flush to the hannibal & front runner racks (Pictured on mine below), and even mounts flush to a DII SD rack with some minor modification. http://www.campinglab.com/carpatecho02.html
I have only noticed the wind noise with the moon roof open, otherwise it's like it isn't even up there and it only reduced my fuel economy by about 2.5 mpg.

If I squint a bit, it looks like the graphic reads "Luxe Living Interior Design Challenge Team".

Luxe Living is a luxury lifestyle company who was gracious enough to sponsor our team. Gotta love playing with Uncle Sam's $ :) I'm in the process to coodinate a North American Challenge Series with sponsored teams Land Rover's, Yota's, Hummer's and Jeeps to determine the best of the best and to raise funds for charrity. If anyone is interested in learning more, or getting involved to help make it happen please PM me. I hope to have the first challenge scheduled for late spring/early summer 2010.

the thing i dont get is how the floor works in the rooftop tent... cause the all overhang the roof of the vehicle what keeps it from sagging without support legs?

The hinge and frame system for the campinglab tents support the portion of the tent when open. I couldn't believe how stout the support is, no sagging or bouncing even when your weight is completely on that side of the tent. The ladder is not needed to support the portion cantilevered portion of the open tent, it's only for access. I'm sure the other tent mfgr's have a similar setup. I was amazed when I experienced this. the 3" integrated 3" memory foam matress made for my most comfortable tent camping experience ever.
