I have a 1995 Range Rover with a front passeger door that will not open from inside or out. A mechanic and a body shop told me the tumbler in the door had failed, so the only way to fix it would be replace the entire door (used) or order the tumbler (and handle), all totaling approximately $800.
Can anyone suggest a different option? The door locks work perfectly fine, as do both handles. One thing that is notable, is that when you pull on the handle, the door lock tries to engage.
