We just purchased a new RRS HSE and trying to learn it's true towing ability. We have a 23' Airstream trailer and understand that the Rover can pull up to about 7700 lbs, so we're well within those limits, but the issue is the weight distributing Hensley hitch that the Airstream is equipped with. LR says the max hitch weight is 550, but the RRS is not built on a conventional frame like the big brother. It has the unibody construction which will, in effect, distribute the extra weight from the trailer to the entire vehicle - front end, body, etc...so there are concerns that the RRS is not able to pull our Airstream safely unless the vehicle was engineered to manage this task somehow.

Does anyone have any experience with this information or know where I can find out more about towing with the Hensley?

I know a little about the hensley.... looked hard at buying one when I had thought about a travel trailer.

No sure on the RRS towing capibility though, but if the RRS can effectively tow the standard 5500lbs (remember the listed 7700lbs if for low range only), then you should be fine with the hensley.... nice hitch by the way. If you haven't already bought one, sign up on there web site and you will get a $300 coupon about once ever 3 to 4 month off the purchase of one.

We spoke the other day - Range Rover Sport - Please refer your owner manual. You will find 7,700lbs is fine in both High or Low.
Your vehicle built w/monocoque and a hydro-formed frame - not as Range Rover which is unibody, not conventional.

Did you end up towing your 23 ft Airstream with your RRS? I have a 2007 RRS and considering the same trailer, but I cannot find any data out there that this will work??? Tongue weight seems to be the issue, LR states 550lbs, the reciever hitch is etched with 770lbs?? Does anyone have any input on this? Thanks so much!
