Hey Gang,

Quick questions, installed a roof top tent and new rack/gas can holder on the LR3 this weekend and noticed when I rasised the truck in offroad mode I got a couple messages about "will raise once system cools down, etc..."

My question is would the extra weight on the truck make the compressor work too hard? I am assuming no since the truck weights a ton and 400 more lbs wouldn't do much but what do ya think?

Thanks in advance.

That would not cause it to happen at all. I have 200+ lbs hanging off the rear in a custom bumper/swing away tire carrier. I have a 28gal aux fuel tank in the stock spare location that also adds more weight (28gal of fuel plus 75lbs for the tank). With a RTT on the roof I still never get that message...

Thanks Ryan,

Is that just from overusing it or is it foreshadowing for a compressor issue?

Thanks in advance...

Likely just overuse. If the compressor gets too hot that happens. I'd say plan on compressor replacement about 50k miles though... Mine went at 46k and I'm now at 66k.

Ugh, ok. I'm at 67k now, bought it at 60k, was told there was a new compressor installed not too long before I purchased it.

A bit of kit for cleaning, servicing compressor.

Part #! LR020590 KIT - COMPRESSOR
Part #2 VUB504700 Ride control - Dryer Dryer, lr3, lr4

In addition to the link, with pictures and description, one person suggested the drying beads can be renewed by microwave for 5-10 minutes. This may prolong the life a bit.

Thanks for the link, that is brilliant! Will definitely try a repair kit if/when the next compressor issues arise.
