I have an 03 Disco with 68,000 miles. I want to change the shocks to improve rider quality. I want to maintain ride height and travel but want a better on road ride. any suggestions?

I guess I need to take a pic of my rover and use it for my avatar, to say the least mine is off road ready and very capable.

I think mine handles very well on road, yet it can still do well off road. The Bilstiens will be a little stiffer on road, but like an enduro motorcycle, my rover is still 70% street 30% off road.

I don't know the D2's as well as I know the D1's, but you should only have air suspension if you have SLS correct? So it is possible to effect the ride if it has springs.

HUH!???? :frown: I don't understand what you are trying to say... Try again....

As far "air" is concerned on the DII's, it's only on the trucks with the SLS... All that does is level the rear of the vehicle automatically if it senses a heavier load... Then is will adjust when the load is removed... Kinda like coil springs, only slower and more electronic components....

Honestly, there isn't a whole lot that is going to affect the ride quality of a Disco... They are heavy and have rough rides... But they were designed for more than paved road driving... I mean, it's no Escalade or Navigator!!!...
