Can someone tell me why my SRS light comes on intermittently? It comes on when I start my DiscoI but not all the time. Is this a dangerous thing? thanks.

If it comes one just when you start, then this is okay... if it stays on then it is a problem.

Mine comes on randomly and stays on till I turn off the car. This just means that the airbags may not deploy right?

Scotty, that is a question I can't answer.... I personally don't like airbags, so my opinion is not the best when it comes to will it deploy or not.
I have seen brand new vehicles off the show room (BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, Chevy etc) that have had major front end collision damage and the bags have not deployed... I have also seen these same cars or trucks have minimal or almost undetectable damage and the airbags blow.... to me they are not safe.
