2015 LR4 Luxury. The small switch on the left side of the steering column above your right knee that controls the up/down and in/out of the steering wheel/column is not working. Any ideas on the problem/fix

Still no control of steering column with switch. Indy shop tried direct connection to motor and no luck. Stealership said new steering column for $6000. Is there a way to get into mechanism that raises the steering wheel so I can easily see all the gauges? The good thing where the wheel is now is you don't see the check engine light that seems to be on to much ;)

All that means is that it is a previously assembled part via the dealer. If you want to fix this issue, inexpensively, you will need to take it apart and separate the electric motor from the assembly… if it is the motor. I’ve not ever heard of this situation before. My bet would have been on the switch, relay or fuse.
Or source a used one: car-part.com
