At speeds between 15-50 mph my 2001 DII has a noticeable vibration in the steering wheel. The steering wheel moves a few inches in either direction by itself without any noticeable change in steering direction. Any ideas?

A bad Tire, could be the damper, but normally no. also since you posted in the other thread about noise issues, you could have a bad steering box.....

I haven't read the other thread, but tie rod ends or basically anything else under there could be loose. I'd get it checked before something gives up.

Do you do any off roading? Check your bushes, trailing arm and steering.
