Tire Pressure Sensor

I'm replacing a wheel that was curbed and making it my new spare. Is it possible to re-use the sensor on the damaged rim for my new rim, or do I need to buy a new sensor for the new wheel? I'm content with not having a sensor on my spare.

Also I assume a full sized spare fits underneath where the existing donut spare tire is located?

-sensor can be moved, not sure why you'd think it can't....? Ideally you would have the tire shop "rebuild" the o-ring and lock nut for best seal. Make sure they know to be careful with removing it.

Any reason you don't want a sensor in the spare? I rotate my spare into the mix each time so I have sensors in all 5. Matching wheels and tires. They last longer obviously but also if 50% worn you need to use the spare, it's the same size a not so much bigger which is not ideal for AWD vehicles especially on same axle.

If one has the HD package the car reports on the spare pressure too. So if you don't put a sensor in it, it will show an error. Full size spare/HD only.

I doubt that.
He had a temp spare and those do not have sensors. If anything, what you're assuming is only for vehicles programmed to have full size spare from the factory in the heavy duty package. Either way, it would be a programming issue and not automatically occur on a vehicle without the HD package.
