Hi Everyone, Im new to the scene and after some help with a land rover im looking to buy.

I have been told that it locks up in gear and to get out of it you would need to drive in reverse for a bit.

I have been told that there is a cirlip in the transfer box that can work lose and just needs replacing.

I would like to know if any one has heard of this problem before and if the solution is simple or if a new box is needed.

Appreciate any comments

If you mean you lock the CDL (Center Differential Lock), then it is normal that you may need to put it into reverse for a bit to disengage. This is cause by the spool up of the transfer case, not the CDL. As far as I know there is not C-clip that will work itself loose, but hey anything is possible...
