Yesterday I was driving down the highway with my cruise control on and all of a sudden my car started accelerating on its own. I cut of the cruise, problem persisted. I pulled onto the shoulder and finally got it stopped, engine still revving. I looked under the hood and found that the black adjustment knob on the throttle cable had broken and popped off. It was holding the cable at full throttle. Hoping to find something in the car to fix the knob, I began searching...I ended up solving the problem by tying a rubber (yeah, that kind of rubber ) around the throttle cable. It held up all day and got us safely back to Boone, NC.

Anyway, does anyone have any idea where I might be able to order this part online? 97 Disco V8i

that page has an accelerator cable for sale, not sure exactly what part you are looking for and not actually sure they just sell the part you need seperately anyway, hope that helped.
