Hi, I'm about to get a 2006 LR3 V8 SE and I'm already thinking about what to do with it. Does anyone know of any LR3's with aftermarket airbags which would give more travel? Secondly, I've seen a bunch of LR3's with blacked out tail lights. Personally I'm all about the black on back, anyone have any suggestions about how to go about blacking out tail lights without sacrificing visibility?

unfortunately i don't think there is a way of blacking out the taillights without also decreases the visibility of your brake lights and turn signals although i've seem it where people have not blacked out the back up light section and it still looks good. I'm going to do mine soon myself using a hobby paint that R/C guys use to tint the windows on their car bodies. its cheap and unlike window tint film it doesn't make them look pink. i'll post a step by step after i do it.

And there is a simple, cheap, modification to get ~2" more of height on the air suspension by modifying a small item. I'll see if I can find the instructions.

2" more ride height yes, but it doesn't give more travel. (I assume you're talking about cutting down the sensors, right?).

Yep - that is what I was talking about.

But by default, don't you get 2" of additional travel when you get 2" more of ride height? The bags have to be extended an extra 2" right? So you should get that extra travel? Maybe I'm confused :stupid:
