Installed the terra firma rear tire carrier on my '15 LR4 last fall and it would intermittently trigger the inner passenger side back up sensor. Fast forward to winter and I get "Park Aid Unavailable" with a very annoying beep at start-up.

I just pulled the tire carrier and bumper off. I tested for shorts across all of the pins, nothing is shorted. Clearing the code does nothing, it immediately reappears.

Because it says "algorithm failure" I think it needs to relearn stuff. Any ideas how to reset the park aid system?

Park aid sensors emit a faint clicking sound. Like a bat's sonar.
Go around the listen to the sensors. The one that doesn't click is defective.
A bad sensor can pull the system down.

I had seen that on another post and stuck my automotive stethoscope up to all of them. None of them make any noise.

You may have to press your ear directly on the sensors.
Or use a piece of 1/2" hose.

Went around the vehicle with a paper towel tube and took a listen, nothing. I don't think the module is even telling them to activate. I plugged in my fancy generic code reader and read some live values.

Where is the actual brain bix for this located?

DTC U3000-63 is set when there is a continued park aid sensor failure.
I'm not sure if your scan tool is pulling up all the DTCs.

Park aid module is located in the left side of the cargo area. Right behind the 2nd row seat. C0958 points to it.

I fought this battle... Ended up pulling the bumper and using multimeter to measure resistance to find the bad sensor. If its in the rear, you might can free up some of the bumper from underneath and get the sensors out without removing the entire bumper... YouTube has some videos on checking your park sensors with a multimeter. Good Luck..
