Used Land Rovers

I am looking into some used Land Rover Discoveries Series II's. There are two in particular that I am interested in.

The first one is a 2000 model with 59001 miles on it for $10988.

The second one is a 2002 SE with 57411 miles on it for $9990.

Are there any signs in particular that would be visible upon an inspection of the engine, the electronics and the undercarraige that would point to poor maitnence by the previous owner? I am looking to buy and know that Land Rovers are high maitnence vehicles, and that when buying used, you are completely at the mercy of the previous owner.

It was hard to say on a vehicle that I haven't seen, and not knowing your mechanical ability it is hard to say what you would look at.

I will say for the price the 02 it price more to market value where the 00 is about 3 grand high.
