Vehicle Speed Sensor

Just bought a VSS and was wondering if it is really the right part. On the disco website the VSS does not look like the one I just bought. The one I just purchased is about 2 1/2 inches long and cylinder shaped and a diameter little larger than that of a pencil. Did I buy a VSS or did my great land rover dealership give me the wrong part. I was also wondering on the Discowebsite does anyone know what year that discovery is, maybe its older and thats why it is shaped different than mine. My disco is a 2000, thanks for your input.

I have a '97 Disco, and I know mine is begger than that, more like the one in the photo on Discoweb. If it was me, just crawl under the Disco and pull out the old one and "stare and compare". If you say to yourself this isn't the same part, don't try to use it. Take the old one to the dealer and say this is what I took off, and this is what you sold me. Is this the right part.

If it is the correct part, install it.
