Where do i connect the idle valve to?

What year is your Rover?

Also, what color is it?

If there is NOT a silver tube or a larger diameter HOLE in the cover, then there is no way you can connect to anything. I would run a long hose from the inlet connection, backwards to the firewall and mount. Let the air continue drawing into the engine, but I would not close it off.
Can you take more pictures, particualry underneath the silver heat shield for the electrical bundle wrap over the valve cover.

Ok my mistake i was looking at something else what does this do?

That is the shrader valve for fuel pressure..., but the hose in the back ground is the one everyone else is asking about....

Nope, nothing to worry about, can't tell by the pic, but if it doesn't have a cover (valve cover from tire will work) I would put one on, keeps the dirt out.

Wash the engine.... it might like that, and ask for it more often.... :)
