Where does the hose go??

I just got my '95 discovery a few days ago. I was looking under the hood and found a loose vac line!! It is connected towards the back of the drivers side valve cover. The line runs along the drivers side fender and stops by the air cleaner. I have looked all around for a connector, but cant find one!! Please help!! The cruise works. Also I cant seem to move the lever that controls the diff lock. I can move the lever up and down between low, neutral, and high. I just cant seem to move it to the left to lock in the diff!! I have a auto trans and I am placing the trans in neutral!! HELP!! PLEASE!!

Not sure about the vaccum hose with out some pics....

But the Diff lock is easy, well easy to post... but about 2 - 3 hours or your time in fun.

Thanks for the info on the diff!! When it gets warm I'll give her a go!! I will try to take some pics soon.

There is a thin vac pipe that runs from the valve cover to the distributor, that could be it.
