Which Discovery to consider?

I'm looking at getting a Discovery but was hopefully looking for some feedback from current owners on +/-'s for certain years. I'm looking for more of a play vehicle w/ less worry about maintenance (relative to each listed of course).

2000 Disco II
vs
2003 Disco S
vs
2004 Disco SE

if you have the money, get the 04, you get the 4.6 liter engine and Diff lock... it is the one I will be if I plan on another Disco.

If by "play" you mean off-roading, then a D1.

Buy a short wheel base like my 95 and put your own lockers in it and give me your cruise ecu or for that matter 95-98 ecu. Got all the power I need in my 95 you should be able to find one really cheap Kelly blue book is like $4700 lot perfect no rust no fluid leaks. They all leak so I figure you can buy one for about $1500. Enough left over to build a real dream machine.
