First problem: A/C cuts out while idling or moving slowly

Now that it's summer again, this issue still keeps popping up for me. Anyone else solve it? They replaced the fan and the clutch, but that didn't do it.

[YATT (yet another tire thread)] Road noise question for street tire vs A/T tire

Currently have the exceptionally fast wearing Nexen Roadian on the LR3. About to purchase a new set of tires, but I'm concerned about road noise if I go for an all terrain tire. Right now I'm looking at the Firestone Destination A/T or the Goodyear SilentArmor A/T if I go for the all-terrain...

First problem: A/C cuts out while idling or moving slowly

This is a bit long and kind of a rant. So we first noticed it last summer while in Vegas. It was maybe 105 degrees and we were stuck in heavy traffic on the Strip. All of a sudden, the air conditioner stopped blowing cold air. It was as if the compressor stopped working and it was just...

Someone explain how to use a recovery strap please.

So I got me a recovery strap. Wide and strong. No metal hooks, just the loops on the end. My question is... if it doesn't have hooks, how do you attach it to two cars? Do you tie a knot? I suppose you could just run it around something and put one end through one of the loops on one side, but...

    Windshield wiper replacement...

I ended up getting the Rain X "Latitude" wipers. Both 22"s. They wipe off the rain from the windshield nice and cleanly. I guess the real test is how long they last. All wipers work when they're new.

Anyone ever have to replace their right (or left) rear window?

Don't know if my alarm went off. I was down the trail hiking with the family. I hope it did. Maybe that's why they didn't go through the rest of the car. They could have taken a few more things.

Anyone ever have to replace their right (or left) rear window?

I believe it's called the quarter window. Some stupid m*****f***** broke the right rear window of our LR3 to steal an old bag with paperwork in it. The bag was free, the paperwork was free. Total loss: the freaking window. Anyone ever have to replace theirs? I'm going to the dealership...

Who has slept in their LR3?

I'm not that tall? You're right, I'm not that tall... compared to you, you genetic freak. I'm plenty tall compared to "normal" people. ;-)

Who has slept in their LR3?

I'm thinking of doing a two night solo camping trip out in the desert. Nothing too remote or dangerous. It may be sort of warm at night, so I'm planning on making the window screen w/ magnetic strip thing for ventilation. I'm lazy and I don't want to take out the car seats and blow up an...

    Hitch-mount Bike Rack

I have one of these: http://www.swagman.net/product_platform1.html It's a nice rack for a few reasons. Being a platform rack with a ratcheting hold-down device, you can literally mount the bike and lock it down in three seconds. It's WAY lighter than the yakima and thule options, which really...
