Well, here's what I just got from Jean
-----

In order to process your request for a replacement mirror, we will need the
following information:

1. Make and Model of your vehicle.

2. What features in addition to autodim does your current mirror have?

3. How many pins are in the back of your mirror?

4. How many wires go into the plug for your current mirror?

5. What color are the wires?

6. What color is the plug?

7. Your name, address, zip code, email address, and phone number.

Correctly answering all of these questions will speed up the process for
processing your request. Thank you in advance.

--------

Once I get home I'll have to find out the answer to some of those questions.

Err, While I'm thinking about it - How does one actually go about taking the old one off? Is it going to be completely obvious to me when I look at it, or is there going to be some trickery, special tools, and ritualistic dance involved?

Just push up parallel to the windshield... It will pop right off. If you are going to remove it entirely you need to disconnect the wires through the sunroof control panel before removing the mirror. It's awkward, but fairly easy.

Good luck! a ritualisitc dance may not be a bad idea though...

Thanks to all that helped. this is excellent.
add this to the 0$ fix to my cruise control, and I've fixed the 2 items that I told the seller would cost me about $1200 to fix, so we should adjust the price down. muahaha.

Heem that is great!! I sent the Word Doc to ** Chung on DWeb and I will send the Word Doc to Slam as well. This way if anyone else needs the help it can be found in the Tech Section!! I also sent Jean Glover a lovely thank you note and a flower arrangement. Thanking her from Land Rover Owners Everywhere for her help with the numerous mirror problems! She should like that!!
