We have had a few cars with XM, and over the last few years, never had one problem. We just activated our sirus satellite few days agoin the new LR4--and not so great.
Every single bridge/overpass from detroit to chicago, the satellite radio blacks out for 1-3 seconds. I have driven this route nearly a hundred times with a few other XM satellite cars and have never had this problem. It was a crystal sunny day. It did it no matter what satellite station i listened to.
Also, changing stations on sirus satellite takes over 3-5 seconds of silence before it changes---our previous vehicles never took more than 1 second.
Furthermore, I am a big AM listener here in chicago of about 4 stations...and, once again, never had any issues in 15 years...but with our new LR4, the AM station reception is very unreliable...constantly coming in and out of good/poor reception.
I am wondering if there is an antenna/reception problem with the LR4? I have never had any such problems with any prior vehicle ever.
