Been experiencing an interesting little problem with my windshield wipers over the years.
When I turn the switch to cut them on nothing happens... If I push down on the stick they work... If I turn them on and hold the switch down they will eventually begin to work on their own (as designed) is there a fix for this or do I have to replace something.

I have been living with it up until now but since finding this site I have been able to fix quite a few things myself.

Thanks for all your help

This is a common issue with the wipers. I have the same issue myself, and just live with it. I am 90% sure that this is a bad switch, just like the headlight switch goes bad, so does the wiper switch.

I have also heard from a few that say it is the motor going bad. I haven't tried to fix mine yet, but when I do I will start with the switch.
