I promise I will get back on topic now! :)

I am sure all of you have seen that the 2014 RRS is revealed and able to be built on the LR website. It is confirmed that the standard engine is the 3.0 supercharged V6, with the 5.0 supercharged V8 offered only on the Supercharged and Autobiography editions. I am a little surprised they did not give you the option on the other RRS models to choose the V8.

So, did anyone hear anything about the 2014 LR4 and if the 3.0 V6 supercharged is confirmed?

It really seems like that will be the case, but without the V8 option.

Curious to hear the official word.

Regards, David

The new Sport can go 0-60 in 6.9 seconds with the new Supercharged V6, versus the old V8's time of 7.2 seconds, it lost so much weight the normally aspirated V8 is no longer necessary to move it with authority (the S/C V8 can go to 60 in less than 5 seconds now, but you gotta pay for it, just like last year.) The LR4 is a still a portly fella and I still think - hope? - it will come with the V8 until the redesign in a year or two... But I am not aware of any official announcements made yesterday regarding next year's LR4.

Call Eric and order your LR4! :)

We can be on the same build timeline and delivery time frame.

:) I would love to have my LR4 come in at the same time, but I may wait another month before ordering. I really wish I could find one off the lot. :argh:

Wow, I can't believe it's already up on the site - I guess that means you can either order one, or just wait few months for these to start showing up.

I can't wait to see the deals on the outgoing RRS, I bet you could get a great deal on a SC.

You probably could, but may need to look across the state and maybe country.

Outgoing RRS SC are now @ $5-6k off after some teeth-pulling type of negotiating

I thought that 0-60 comparison was actually against the v8 diesel...

Not bad, the new lightweight RRS V6 is only 0.4 sec slower to 60 than the old portly LR4 V8.*

Not a big fan of the RRS exterior, but that new interior is very nice.
