Nice job. I always get a mix of panic/admiration when I see DIY dash yankage. Hope you're able to get it all buttoned up nicely with the replacement. That would make for a very satisfying fix.

Thanks. Looking at all of the parts and pieces and bolts and screws on my garage floor, I’m nervous about reinstallation also.

I’m hoping that I can put it back together in such a way that reduces the creakiness of the interior when it gets hot.

Ok, so the saga continues. I get a call today from Land Rover Merriam that the part they listed as fitting my LR4 does not, in fact.

Are there any parts gurus out there that can tell me the difference between these two part numbers?

LR044209

LR044343

Only distinction I can find is the 209 is without limited edition. But I don’t know what limited edition really means.

I inspected for obvious damage as to why the leather was peeling. I didn’t look for a number because I already had the parts ordered lol.
I’ll look more closely for a number when I get home from work.

Doing more searching I found that LR made a non-leather covered dash. The leather was part of an extended leather option.

The parts guy at Merriam said he sees LR4 dash problems all the time.

That's cool. War Eagle and at least we have a shared enjoyment of Land Rovers to bridge that divide!!
That's true. How'd you get all the way to MD?

I looked all over the underside of the dash panel, and all I can find are some stickers that ID the part, but not by any part number we would know. It looks like Faurecia's part numbers.

I'm actually an Auburn Dad. My daughter attended there and had a great run. I also got involved on the board of the AU Parents' Association and made a lot of good friends in the administration.

Fun fact-- one of my close hometown friends back in WV is Nick Saban's stepsister. Makes for a lot of good smacktalk.
