Howdy,

Just got the notification from my local dealer that it is the 1 year anniversary of having my LR4 so I thought I would post how the 1st year has gone.

I got the car with ~62k miles on it and should be rolling 101k this week or next so I have put on almost 40k miles. In that time I have had to repair the following:

Vacuum Pump Seal
Crossover Pipe (twice because 1st part was defective and cracked within a week)

I have of course done a lot of maintenance to insure it will stay running for a long time:

Differential fluids changed
Transmission fluid changed and swapped to AB Filter
New Belts
New Filters
and of course oil change every 6-7k with Mobil 1
new set of Nokian wrg3's because I wanted something better in the snow than the continentals that came on the car.

So far I have absolutely loved the car and can't wait to have it for many more years!

Holy crap!

I have had mine for 2 years and 1 month.
Got it with 21k miles and just hit 41,200 exactly pulling into my parking spot at the office today. 2,500 miles were done just in the 2 days getting it home from the dealer where I bought it.

Helps that I’m single with 2 cars, spreads the miles out. I try and drive my other car to the airport which is a ways away from me when I travel for work, which is extensively.

I have definitely babied it mileage wise, but have off-roaded the **** out of it.

After new 2 stage ceramic coating and paint correction, thing looks brand new. Also brand new steering wheel made by LR and sent to replace my faulty one helps my still immaculate interior look even better. Did I mention being single? and no kids...

I too want to keep this thing forever. Congrats on driving the heck out of your new truck.

Feb 2nd was my 1 year anniversary of my '13. Bought it with ~25k and put on 11k in year one and it's my primary driver. Have my own mityvac and done one oil change...2nd due soon. Brakes are a little squeaky so that might be something to do soon but no first year issues. Hate the conti's in the snow and hope to replace them by next winter if they're worn enough. Love the ride and haven't had auto wanderlust...yet...

I do project management for Construction so that was the majority of the miles. The last 6 months I was commuting 600 mi/wk for work alone and then we basically just used my car every weekend for skiing, mountain biking trips, and our honeymoon roadtrip. My wife has an LR2 but with all of our bikes and gear and the bigass dog we just end up in the LR4 unless it's a real short trip.

Just started working for a new company last week so my miles are going to go wayyy down. Hopefully that allows me to preserve this thing a bit longer until a diesel Disco 5 comes into my price range :)

It looks like I missed posting last year but it's now my 3 year anniversary with the LR4.

Currently at 132K Miles so my average for the last two years has gone down to 15k per year.

Notable repairs/maintenace in the Last 2 Years:
- Front Right Wheel Bearing @103k
-Windshield Washer Pump @103k
-Spark Plugs & front/rear brakes @ 105k
-Tailgate Latch Motor & Actuator @109k
-Air compresor @ 116k
-Water Pump, thermostat & Front Left Wheel bearing (Both Replaced pre-emptively) @120k
-New Tires at 130k
-Alternator, Front Right Tie Rod, Vacuum Pump Gasket @ 131k
-Radiator was also replaced at 131k but only because repair shop broke part of it trying to remove fan clutch during above alternator replacement.

Upgrades:
Prospeed Light Grill Light Brackets
Prospeed Rack
Prospeed Ladder (On order)

The alternator failure a couple weeks ago was my first "breakdown" in the car, other than that its has been great!

I've had my '16 LR4 for 1 yr. and 2 months now, bought with 50,424 mi. and now has 64,530 mi. (3 vehicle household and one of us works from home). So far we have replaced the alternator (due to a leaky passenger vcg), battery, EAS compressor, both timing covers and vvt seals. All covered under warranty except the alternator which I did when it left us stranded in nowhere south Alabama.

Maintenance wise I have replaced both belts (stock ones where fine and kept in truck for spares), front/rear diff fluid, xfer case fluid, oil/filter every 5k mi., brake pads with new slotted/drilled rotors. Transmission service will be coming up shortly. Performance upgrades include a larger crank pulley and stage II tune from Velocity AP.
